Piston Rings

Ensure piston ring end gap and side clearance are within specification. See PISTONS, PINS & RINGS table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. Install piston rings with identification mark on compression rings toward top of piston. Position piston ring end gaps in proper locations. See Fig 1.

No. 1 compression ring is marked with 1T identification mark. No. 2 compression ring is marked with 2T identification mark.
