Compressor Drive Belt Check

  1. Ensure drive belt fits properly on compressor pulley. If pointer is not in range "A" on tensioner scale, replace belt. See Fig 1. If tension is okay, go to next step.
  2. Start engine. Turn blower and A/C on. Observe compressor. If compressor locks during operation, repair compressor. If compressor does not lock during operation, measure sensor resistance. See SENSOR RESISTANCE TEST .
