SERVICE INFORMATION
A number of functionality changes are being implemented to the Driver Assistance Mode systems across 24MY models.
These functionality changes are to meet new General Safety Regulations 2 (GSR II). The legislation has introduced a range of mandatory advanced driver assistance systems to improve road safety. The new safety measures will help to better protect passengers, pedestrians and cyclists.
Introducing GSR II:
GSR II is a safety legislation which came into force in 2022. In 2024 it will require all new registrations to adopt some changes to vehicle safety systems to meet these legislations.
- For vehicles IN GSR II or NCAP markets the Driver Assistance Mode setting will default to HIGH mode following every ignition cycle.
- For vehicles NOT IN GSR II or NCAP markets the Driver Assistance Mode setting will default to CUSTOM mode following every ignition cycle.
Introducing Driver Assistance Mode:
- Brings together four existing safety features into one single, customable function.
- Steering wheel button allows the customer to select modes without taking your hands off the wheel.
(See 'Image 1' for an illustration of the Steering Wheel button)
- 3 simple settings on Low, Custom, High.
- Settings inputted into custom mode are retained in the vehicle's memory for the customers convenience and ease.
- A long press on the steering wheel button will open up the new Driver Assistance mode screen on the PIVI touchscreen, where settings can also be toggled.
- See 'Image 1' for an illustration of the Low, Custom and High PIVI screen options.
If customers raise any queries with the functionality changes concerning driver assistance modes how the systems operate in each mode, please direct the customer to the owner's handbook either online or through the I-Guide to access this information and instructions on how to change the driver assistance mode settings.
