This SSM is being issued to inform and remind technicians of Service Alert STE14-17 published to InfoTrail. Ensure all dealer technicians are aware of the improvements with DVD139.13.
BRIEF SUMARY OF STE14-17
Solved
DVD139.13 includes a correction for the ABS module CAN address used for general diagnosis of the ABS system. Prior to the patch release a red "X" would have been identified next to the ABS module.
DO NOT ATTEMPT
- any ABS control module programming, configuration, or replacement
- any ABS related SDD managed service functions like "brake bleeding", etc.
- to perform programming or service functions related to Steering Angle Sensor as this requires synchronization with the ABS module.
