Engine Drag-torque Control (EDC) stops wheel slip caused by any of the following:

When the ABS control module detects the onset of wheel slip without the brakes being applied, the ABS control module signals the PCM through the HS CAN powertrain Bus to request a momentary increase in engine torque.
