Bearing Inspection

- Inspect bearings for the following defects.
- Cratering - fatigue failure
- Spot polishing - incorrect seating.
- Imbedded dirt engine oil.
- Scratching - dirty engine oil.
- Base exposed - poor lubrication.
- Both edges worn - journal damaged.
- One edge worn - journal tapered or bearing not seated.
