Information

It is important to check the waveform on the CAN communication line simultaneously for CAN high and low. The CAN signal is high signal raised to 3.5 V in bus idle state (digital 1") relative to 2.5 V, and the low signal is lowered to 1.5 V, resulting in a voltage difference of 2 V between high and low signals to detect "0". It also monitors whether the high and low signals have conflicting voltages based on 2.5 V as the waveform on the left, monitoring whether the current CAN signal has been transmitted normally. In CAN communication, a continuous "0" signal greater than 6 bits indicates an error. During the CAN communication waveform check, verify that continuous "0" signals of not less than 6 bits occur.

  1. Reference Voltage Approx. 2.5V (high: 2.5V → 3.5V raise, low: 2.5V → 1.5V decrease)
  2. idle (2.5V) interval of a constant cycle
  3. regular data frame time
  4. high and low frame shapes that are symmetrical
