DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check on a CAN communication
  • Poor connection
  • CAN communication circuit (open, short)
    • CAN high line open
    • CAN low line open
    • CAN high and low line open
    • CAN high line short to 12V battery
    • CAN low line short to 12V battery
    • CAN high, low line short to each other
    • CAN high, low line short to each other and short to ground
  • Terminating Resistance faulty
  • Transmitting controller bus off
  • Transmitting controller disconnected
  • Transmitting controller power, fuse or ground faulty
  • Transmitting controller H/W, S/W faulty
  • CAN line noise
  • ECM
  • FR_RDR
Enable Conditions
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Normal 12V battery voltage (10 to 16V)
  • Engine running (Faster than 32 RPM)
Threshold Value
  • When a CAN message comes from FR_RDR is not received
Diagnostic Time
  • 2s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
