Inspection Procedure: Notes

  1. Visual/physical checks are carried out for the following conditions.
    • Vacuum hose damaged, cracked and poor connection.
    • Check Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve for malfunction.
    • Check the rubber gasket on the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve for damage.
    • Check ECM ground.
  2. Check the MAFS and the ECTS for the following items.
    • Poor connector contact and wiring damage.
    • Check MAFS signals for increasing as the number of engine rotations increases. (Operate the accelerator pedal and check the KDS monitor.)
    • It monitors KDS and checks whether the value of ECTS matches the actual engine temperature.
