Removal & Installation: Removal
WARNING:
- When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the "Safety Precautions, Cautions and Warnings". Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION AND CAUTION . If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedure.
- Turn the IG OFF, separate the auxiliary battery (12 V) (-) terminal, and disconnect the high voltage service interlock connector. (1) Remove the front trunk pad (A).

- Remove the auxiliary battery (12 V) service cover (A).

- Separate the auxiliary battery (12 V) negative terminal (A) by separating the nut.
Tightening torque :
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb.ft)

- Remove the high voltage service interlock connector (A).WARNING: Wait more than 5 minutes for capacitor of the high voltage battery system to be discharged completely.
- Remove the side power electric room cover. [LH]
(Refer to Motor and Reduction Gear System - " LH Power Electric Room Cover ")
- Remove the side power electric room cover. [RH]
(Refer to Motor and Reduction Gear System - " RH Power Electric Room Cover ")
- Disconnect the front impact sensor connector (A).

- Remove the front impact sensor (A) after removing the nut.
Tightening torque :
7.5 - 9.1 N.m (0.76 - 0.93 kgf.m, 5.5 - 6.7 lb.ft)
