[Fuel Sender]

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the fuel pump assembly.

    (Refer to Fuel Pump Module - "Removal  ")

  3. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of sender connector (A) at each float level.

    1 Fuel sender ground (-)
    2 Fuel sender signal (+)
    3 Fuel pump motor ground (-)
    4 Fuel pump motor(W)
    5 Fuel pump motor(V)
    6 Fuel pump motor(U)

  4. Check that the resistance is within the specification.
