DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case 1
  • ECM internal inspection (knock sensor recognition faulty)
  • Poor connector connection
  • ECM
  • Irregularity battery
Case 2
  • ECM internal inspection (barometric pressure sensor faulty)
Case 3
  • ECM internal inspection (internal ATIC communication faulty)
Case 4
  • ECM internal inspection (EWGA overheat)
Enable Conditions Case 1
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Engine speed is higher than 32 RPM
Case 2, 3, 4
  • Ignition "ON"
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Abnormality detected during the determination of knock sensor signal (internal ECU diagnosis) plausibility
Case 2
  • Abnormality is detected during ECU self-diagnosis (H/W circuit, sensor memory)
Case 3
  • ATIC communication error (internal ECU diagnosis) is detected
Case 4
  • When the temperature of 200°C or higher is measured during ECU power diagnosis
Diagnostic Time Case 1
  • 1.5s
Case 2
  • 3s
Case 3
  • 1s
Case 4
  • 0.3s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
