Repair Procedures: Removal

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")

CAUTION: After disconnecting the cables, wait at least 3 minutes.
Remove the front seat back cover.
(Refer to Body - "FRONT SEAT BACK COVER ")
Remove the side airbag wiring (A) after removing the side airbag wiring clips.

Remove the side airbag (A) by removing the nuts.
Tightening torque:

5.8 - 7.8 N.m (0.6 - 0.8 kgf.m, 4.3 - 5.7 lb.ft, 52.0 - 69.4 lb.in)
