Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor #1
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:
In case of removing the high pressure fuel pump, high pressure fuel pipe, delivery pipe, and injector, there may be injury caused by leakage of the high pressure fuel. So don't do any repair work right after engine stops.
- Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")
- Remove the intake manifold.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")
- Remove the injector foam (A).
- Remove the high fuel pipe.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - " DELIVERY PIPE ").
- Remove the Hybrid Starter Generator (HSG).
(Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "HYBRID STARTER GENERATOR ")
- Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) #2 connector (A).
- Disconnect the ECTS #1 connector (A).
- Remove the delivery pipe & injector (A) by removing the bolts.
Tightening torque:
24.5 - 27.5 N.m (2.5 - 2.8 kgf.m, 18.1 - 20.3 lbf.ft)
- Remove the ECTS #1 (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
NOTE: Note that engine coolant may be flowed out from the water temperature control assembly when removing the sensor.
