Removal And Installation

Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).

Remove the engine room under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
Remove the sensor (A) by loosening the mounting bolt.
Crankshaft position sensor mounting bolt:

7.8 - 11.8 Nm (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb.ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

Install the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKPS) to the specified torque.
If the CKPS is dropped, it may internal damage. (Do not reuse)
Install the CKPS by pushing it into the mounting hole when installing it. At this time do not impact the sensor.
Apply the engine oil to the O-ring.
