DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN signal check
  • Poor connection
  • CAN communication circuit (open, short)
    • CAN high line open
    • CAN low line open
    • CAN high and low line open
    • CAN high line short to auxiliary battery
    • CAN low line short to auxiliary battery
    • CAN high, low line short to each other
    • CAN high, low line short to each other and short to ground
  • Terminating resistance faulty
  • Transmitting controller bus off
  • Transmitting controller disconnected
  • Transmitting controller power, fuse or ground faulty
  • Transmitting controller H/W, S/W faulty
  • CAN line noise
  • MCU faulty (CAN module)
  • VCU faulty (CAN module faulty)
Enable Conditions
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Auxiliary battery voltage is between 9V and 16V
  • Diagnosis is entered when the above conditions are satisfied and maintained for more than 0.5s
Threshold Value
  • No signal via CAN for 0.5s or receiving error value
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.5s
