DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal plausibility check
  • Poor connection
  • Short in harness
  • Knock sensor
  • ECM
Case1 Enable Condition
  • Knock control function is active:
    • Engine coolant temperature (ECT) is greater than 65°C
    • Mass air flow is greater than 0.8g/revolutions
    • Ignition "ON"
    • Engine is operating state, out of start
  • Engine speed is greater than 2656RPM
Threshold Value
  • Knock noise signal is lower than 0.1367V
  • Magnitude of deflection of the knock signal is below a certain threshold
Case2 Enable Condition
  • Knock control function is active:
  • Engine coolant temperature (ECT) is greater than 65°C
  • Mass air flow is greater than 0.8g/revolutions
  • Ignition switch is on condition
  • Engine is operating state, out of start
Threshold Value
  • Absolute value of difference between knock noise signal and its sliding average is lower than 0.0586V
  • If the absolute value of the difference between knock noise signal and filtered signal is below a certain threshold
Diagnostic Time
  • 200 revolutions
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
