DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor the EGR motor and the power stage
  • Poor connection or damaged harness
  • EGR actuator motor circuit is short to ground
  • Faulty EGR actuator
Enable Condition
  • EGR control duty (5s)
Threshold Value
  • Short circuit of the EGR actuator (short circuit to the power and ground, short circuit of motor +/-)
  • Overheating and over current
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.1s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
