Removal And Installation

- Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
- Remove the engine cover.

- Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly.

- Remove the engine room under cover.
(Refer to " Removal And Installation ")
- Remove the engine wiring connectors and harness clamps around the intake manifold and then remove the connector brackets and wiring protector.
- Disconnect the purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) hose (A).
- Disconnect the vacuum pipe hose (A).
- Remove the vacuum pipe bolts (A)
- Remove the air breather pipe bolt (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
- Remove the wiring bracket bolt (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
- Remove the electronic throttle control (ETC) module.
(Refer to " Removal ")
- Remove the purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) hose (A) and bracket (B).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
- Remove the intake manifold stay (A).
Tightening torque:
18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb.ft)
- Remove the intake manifold (A) with the gasket.
Tightening torque:
18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb.ft)
NOTE:- Be careful not to allow the foreign substances to enter the inlet port.
- Do not reuse the intake manifold gasket (A) and ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) module gasket (B).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
