Removal And Installation

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Disconnect the CVVT oil control valve connector.
  3. Remove the valves (A) by loosening the mounting bolt.

    CVVT oil control valve mounting bolt: 

    9.8 - 11.8 Nm (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
  • Install the Oil Control Valve (OCV) with the specified torques.
  • If the OCV is dropped, it may cause internal damage. (Do not reuse)
  • Apply engine oil to the valve O-ring.
