Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
    NOTE: After disconnecting the cables, wait at least 30 seconds.
  2. Remove the main crash pad.

    (Refer to Body - "MAIN CRASH PAD ASSEMBLY ")

    NOTE: If the PAB has been deployed, replace the damaged crash pad.
  3. Remove the passenger airbag after loosening the bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    3.9 - 5.8 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.8 - 4.3 lb.ft, 34.7 - 52.0 lb.in)

    CAUTION: The removed airbag module should be stored in a clean, dry place with the pad cover facing up.
