Variant Code Reset

  1. Check for improper installation of ECM/TCM/ESC/4WD/DCT/ACU/EPB ECU.
  2. Check for wrong 4WD ECU installation.
  3. Check for wrong G sensor installation.
  4. Check for wrong DCT ECU installation.
  5. Check for wrong TCM installation.
  6. Check for wrong EPB ECU installation.
  7. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  8. Turn "ON" the Ignition Switch.
  9. Perform variant code reset in Vehicle S/W Management menu of the GDS. (Image below).
  10. Turn "OFF" the Ignition Switch and wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn "ON" the Ignition Switch. Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " Procedure.
