DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Coolant Temperature too low for Lambda regulation
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty Cooling System
  • Open or Short in ECT Sensor Signal Circuit
  • Faulty ECT Sensor
Enable Conditions
  • ECT at engine start lower than 32°F(0°C)
  • 50s elapsed after start when difference of Lambda control enable ECT and ECT at start is 0°C
  • 100s elapsed after start when difference of Lambda control enable ECT and ECT at start is 8°C
  • 200s elapsed after start when difference of Lambda control enable ECT and ECT at start is 20°C
  • 300s elapsed after start when difference of Lambda control enable ECT and ECT at start is 35°C
  • Battery voltage higher than 11V and lower than 16V
  • No relevant DTC present
Threshold Value
  • Coolant temperature signal lower than 0°C
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediately
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
