DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Plausibility Check

DTC Strategy Case 1
  • Engine speed higher than 640 to 960 RPM depending on start ECT
  • Battery voltage higher than 11V and lower than 16V
  • Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) higher than 74°C
  • Engine stop time higher than 10 minutes
  • Difference between minute and max. amount of heat stored in intake manifold greater than 1000
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty IAT Sensor
Case 2
  • Battery voltage higher than 6V and lower than 16V
Case 3
  • Battery voltage higher than 6 V and lower than 16V
  • Engine stop time greater than 480 minutes
  • ECT decrease in 15s after start less than 1.4°C
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Intake air temperature signal variation since engine start less than 1.5° C
Case 2
  • Deviation of IAT and IAT moving mean value more than 8.25°C (Noise Signal)
Case 3
  • Deviation between IAT and 2 other temperature sensors (ECT, AAT or EOT) greater than 20°C
  • Deviation among other temperature sensors (ECT, AAT, EOT) less than 20°C
Diagnostic Time Case 1
  • Immediately
Case 2
  • 0.5s
Case 3
  • Immediately
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
