Component Inspection

  1. Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode.
  4. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode again.
  6. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • The main cause of this code is that improper CAN signal from engine system is detected.
    • Check DTCs in engine system. If there is a code in engine system, repair according to DTC diagnostic guide of engine system.

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in CAN signal harness and/or ABS/ESP's connector. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
