GDS Data Analysis

  1. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Turn the steering wheel to the left and right.
  4. Monitor the "Steering Angle Sensor (CAN) (ESP Only)" parameter on the "Current Data" menu of the GDS.

  5. When steering wheel is turned, is the parameter changed?

    YES 

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor connection in poor connection and/or ESP (ESC)'s connector. Or, ESP (ESC) memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

    • Go to next step.
