Component Inspection

  1. Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
  2. Connect GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
  3. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  4. Clear the DTC using GDS.
  5. Put your foot on and off the brake pedal several times.
  6. Check the DTC. Did the DTC return?

    YES 

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor connection in power harness (ignition+) and/or ESP (ESC)'s connector. Or, ESP (ESC) memory was not cleared after repair. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
    • Replace it with a new ESP (ESC) and check for proper operation. If okay, put the new ESP (ESC) in place and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair "

    NO 

    NOTE: * In a case of replacing ESP (ESC), perform following functions
    1. "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (refer to C126104 ) -ESP (ESC) only
    2. "Longitudinal Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C128504 ) - ESP (ESC) only
    3. "Variant Coding" for option coding (refer to C170204 )
