DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Trouble shooting Condition Possible Cause
Main action
  • Monitor open circuit
  1. Open circuit in brake switch line
  2. Faulty brake light switch
  3. Faulty input stage in ESP (ESC)
Threshold value
  • In case of over 10 kph (6.2 mph) speed and under 5 bar of Pressure sensor input, monitoring a fault if Brake light signal keeps 'ON' for 60 seconds.
  • Monitoring a fault if Brake light signal keeps 'OFF' for 1 second in case of over 15 bar of Pressure sensor input.
MIL
  • Inhibit the ESP (ESC) control and allow the ABS/EBD control.
  • The ESP (ESC) warning lamp is activated.
Reset condition
  • Turn ignition switch off and on.
