Monitor GDS Data

  1. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Turn the steering wheel to the left and right.
  4. Monitor the "Steering Angle Sensor (CAN) (ESP Only)" parameter on the "Current Data" menu of the GDS.

    Specification  :

    The difference between the maximum and minimum value is less than 50 DEG. Also, the value should fluctuate smoothly.

  5. When steering wheel is turned, is the parameter changed?

    YES 

    • Fault can be caused when ESP (ESC) memory was not cleared after it was repaired. Clear the DTC and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

    NO 

    • Go to next step.
