Condition |
Possible Cause |
| Main action |
- Monitor steering angle sensor signal
|
- Incorrect installation
- Incorrect calibration of steering angle sensor
- Faulty steering angle sensor
|
| Threshold value |
- If following interference and signal disturbance is detected.
- During straight driving, If the steering wheel angle is larger than 55 degree ECU detects the failure.
- When the steering wheel angle is out of sensor spec, ECU detects the failure.
- When the difference between estimated angle and measured angle of the SAS sensor is larger than 50deg/s, failure is detected, if the fault condition is maintained for over 1.5 seconds.
- In case that diagnostic signal fault of SAS was happened for more than 100ms within normal voltage condition.
- When the steering wheel angle is under 3 degree during left/right curve, ECU detects the failure.
- In case that rolling count received from sensor does not increase in order for more than 10 times.
- A failure is detected when the calculated and received checksum values differ more than 10 times.
