Liftgate Lock Module Inspection

  1. Remove the liftgate trim.

    (Refer to Body - " LIFTGATE TRIM  ") 

  2. Disconnect the connectors from the actuator.

  3. Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground as displayed below. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.

    Terminal/Operation Fully Locked Half Locked Fully Open
    (1) (+) (+) X
    (2) (-) (-) X
    (5) & (3) OFF OFF ON
    (4) & (3) OFF ON ON
  4. Checking the liftgate of the vehicle power option power refers to the liftgate module.
