Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
    NOTE: After disconnecting the cables, wait at least 30 seconds.
  2. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Body - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Disconnect the connector (A) from Supplemental Restraint System Control Module (SRSCM).

  4. Remove the Supplemental Restraint System Control Module (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.8 - 1.4 kgf.m, 5.7 - 10.1 lb.ft)

    CAUTION: Switch "OFF? the ignition when removing or installing SRSCM or other SRS components to avoid accidental airbag deployment.
    NOTE: Be careful not to damage the SRSCM connector.
