DTC C1237: Primary Pressure Sensor Signal: General Description
The pressure sensor is built in the IBAU and detects the brake oil pressure to identify driver's braking intention while VDC is running. If hydraulic pressure is applied from the master cylinder to the pressure sensor, the piezoelectric element strain changes and thus resistance of the bridge circuit changes accordingly. Therefore, this change in resistance leads to the bridge circuit output voltage that changes linearly in proportion to the pressure. Sensor output is an analog signal in proportion to the supply voltage. The control unit (IBAU) recognizes the pressure in proportion to the signal against the supply voltage.
