Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the air cleaner.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  4. Remove the battery cable bracket (A) after loosening the mounting bolt (B).
  5. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector (C).

  6. Disconnect the starter cable (B) from the B terminal on the solenoid then disconnect the connector from the S terminal (A).

  7. Remove the 2 bolts holding the starter, then remove the starter (A).
