Monitor DTC Status

Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Ignition "ON".
Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" with KDS/GDS.

Is DTC status displayed as Present?
YES
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or Control module's connector or was repaired and Control module's memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
- Substitute with a known-good SCC module and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace SCC and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
  * Go to "Vehicle S/W Management " procedure.
NO
- This fault was repaired and SCC Module memory was not cleared. Go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
