Monitor KDS/GDS Data

Ignition "ON" or Engine "ON".
Connect KDS/GDS and select MDPS system.
Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "Steering Angle Sensor" parameter.
Check Steering Angle is changeable together with vehicle Steering Angle.

Is the Steering Angle signal normal?
YES
- Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
NO
- Select MDPS system and Check DTCs related with SAS. If DTC is exist, repair as necessary and then confirm clear. Afterward, select SCC system and check DTCs.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
