- Ignition switch "ON"
- No related DTC is stored

| Case 2 |
- Ignition switch "ON" and vehicle speed over 30 km/h (Approx. 19 mph)

| Case 3 |
- Ignition switch "ON" and vehicle speed over 15 km/h (Approx. 9 mph) in case of brake lamp switch "ON"
- Ignition switch "ON" and vehicle speed over 6 km/h (Approx. 4 mph) in case of brake lamp switch "OFF"

Case 1 |
- Valve feedback monitoring
- Monitoring signal correlation between solenoid valve operating signal and feedback signal
- Monitors for 40 msec. on no valve control and for 60 msec. on valve control
- If two signal is not matched consecutively, HECU remembers the moment and re-monitors after 60 msec. and fault is set if the same condition is detected

| Case 2 |
- Valve, pump motor relay and pump motor monitoring
- Monitors short in solenoid valve circuit by activating valve and pump motor in sequence. The valve fault is detected by monitoring valve feedback signal. At the same time pump motor is activated

| Case 3 |
- Monitors short in solenoid valve circuit and abnormal operation of solenoid valve by activating valve in sequence. The valve fault is detected by monitoring valve feedback signal

- Ignition "OFF" and then "ON" and minimum vehicle speed over 30 km/h (Approx. 19 mph)
