Component Inspection

■ Check Fuel Pressure Regulator 

1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect FPR connector.
3. Measure resistance between terminal 1 and 2 of FPR connector.(Component Side)

   Specification  :

   ITEM	Specification
   Fuel Pressure Regulator Resistance (Ω)	Approx. 1Ω±5% at 20°C (68°F)

4. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC)
5. IG Key "ON" & ENG "OFF"
6. Perform "High Pressure Fuel Pump Control" in the "Actuation Test" with GDS.
7. Monitor "Angle to close (open) FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator)" parameter on the Current Data with GDS and check if value changes.
8. Is parameter displayed changed?

   YES 

   • Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage. So, check poor connections and the related circuit between ECM/PCM and component thoroughly. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

   NO 

   • Substitute with a known - good FPR and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace FPR and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
