DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal monitoring
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Faulty signal circuit of front-LH wheel speed sensor
  3. Faulty wheel speed sensor front-LH
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON" & Engine "ON"
  • Continuous monitoring at vehicle speed over 40km/h (Approx. 25mph)
  • No related DTC is stored
Threshold Value
  • When one wheel is abnormal sensing during the vehicle speed is above 40km/h (24.9mph) for more than 300ms
    • Stop control right away if wheel speed sensor failure is detected during no control
Detecting Time
  • 300ms
Warning Lamp
  • In case of failure on one or two wheel
    • ABS/ESC (ESP) Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
  • In case of failure on more than tree wheels
    • EBD/ABS/ESC (ESP) Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Disable Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON" and vehicle speed over 12km/h (Approx. 7mph)
Failsafe
  • Wheel speed sensor failure is detected while ABS/ESC (ESP) is not in control: Control function prohibited
