Component Inspection

■ Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) Performance Inspection 

1. Ignition Key "OFF".
2. Disconnect ECTS connector.
3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal and Pin No. 1 (Ground) terminal of the ECTS (component side).

   Specification:  Approx. 1.4kΩ at 30°C (86°F)

■ Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IATS) Performance Inspection 

1. Ignition Key "OFF".
2. Disconnect IATS connector.
3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal and Pin No. 4 (Ground) terminal of the IATS (component side).

   Specification:  Approx. 2.0kΩ at 30°C (86°F)

4. Does the IATS, ECTS operate properly? (Check variation)

   YES 

   • Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO 

   • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.

     If problem still occurs, replace ECTS and/or IATS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
