Ground Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  3. Refer to "O2 SENSOR CONNECTOR REMOVAL " and disconnect Downstream O2 Sensor connector.
  4. Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (Ground) terminal of Downstream O2 Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. below 1Ω

  5. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Repair open or short in ground circuit between Downstream O2 Sensor and PCM and then go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
