DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Detects damage to the Injector(s) or fuel rail or a mechanical failure in high pressure pump
  1. Poor connection
  2. Open or short to ground in power circuit
  3. Short to ground in signal circuit
  4. Fuel rail pressure sensor
  5. PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Engine "ON"
  • Soak time is greater than 6 hours
  • Difference of ECT at IG "OFF" and ECT at Start up is greater than 40° C (104)°F
Threshold Value
  • Fuel pressure is greater than 20 MPa
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.6 sec.
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
