Component Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect IATS connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between signal terminal (Pin No. 3) and ground terminal (Pin No. 4) of the sensor connector(Component side).

    Specification

    50(122) 0.76 ~ 0.85
    60(140) 0.54 ~ 0.62
    80(176) 0.29 ~ 0.34
  4. Is resistance within the specification?

    YES 

    • Check for poor connection between PCM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to Verification Of Vehicle Repair procedure below.

    NO 

    • Check IATS for contamination, deterioration, or damage. Substitute with a known-good IATS and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace IATS and then go to Verification Of Vehicle Repair procedure below.
