DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage Monitoring
  1. Open or short of pressure sensor circuit
  2. Faulty pressure sensor
Threshold Value Case 1 (Master Pressure Sensor, noisy signal, offset, stick)
  • Outside an ABS/TCS/ESC control, if input signal is noisy, which the gradient of the sensor signal is larger than 15bar, ECU detects the failure
  • Outside an ABS/TCS/ESC control, and after normal operation of BLS, if the pressure sensor signal is higher than 15bar and BLS is low for 3 sec, ECU detects the failure
  • During driving over 40KPH and stop for 3 times, if MCP is not changed, ECU detects the failure
Case 2 (Wheel Pressure Sensor, noisy signal, offset)
  • A failure is detected if the difference between each wheel pressure sensor signal and master cylinder pressure signal is larger than 21 bar within 1.8 sec of failure detection time
Fail Safe Case 1
  • Inhibit the ESP (ESC) control and allow the ABS/EBD control
  • The ESP (ESC) warning lamp is activated
Case 2
  • DTC is stored
