Main Crash Pad Assembly Replacement
NOTE:
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Remove the following items:
- Front pillar trim
(Refer to "INTERIOR TRIM ")
- Cowl side trim
(Refer to "INTERIOR TRIM ")
- Floor console assembly
(Refer to "CONSOLE ")
- Center fascia lower panel
- Cluster fascia panel
- Cluster assembly
- Audio or AVN head unit
- Center fascia upper panel
- LCD monitor assembly
- Crash pad lower panel
- Glove box housing
- Front pillar trim
- Remove the steering wheel.
(Refer to the "STEERING WHEEL - REMOVAL ")
- Remove the multifunction switch assembly.
(Refer to the "MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH - REMOVAL ")
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the center speaker grill (A).
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the center speaker (A).
- Disconnect the center speaker connector (A).
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the photo sensor (A).
- Disconnect the photo sensor connector (B).
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the cubis (A).
- Disconnect the cubis connector (A).
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the crash pad center panel (A).
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the ignition key grommet (A).
- Disconnect the start/stop button connector (A).
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad switch assembly (A).
- Disconnect the crash pad switch connector (B).
- Loosen the mounting bolts.
- Disconnect the passenger's airbag connectors (A).
- After loosening the mounting screw, bolts, nuts, then remove the main crash pad assembly (A).
- Installation is the reverse of removal.NOTE:
- Make sure the crash pad fits onto the guide pins correctly.
- Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
- Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
