Component Inspection

■ Perform VIS(bank 1) Actuation Test 

1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
2. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF".
3. Perform "Actuation Test" for "Variable Intake Manifold #1".

■ Inspect VIS #1 

1. IG Key "OFF".
2. Disconnect VIS #1 connector.
3. Measure resistance between power and control terminal of the VIS #1. (Component Side).

   Specification:  Approx. 30 ~ 35Ω [22°C(71.6 °F)]

■ Confirm Part Inspection 

1. Does the VIS #1 operate properly? (Check variation)

   YES 

   • Go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

   NO 

   • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
   • If the diagnostics have been performed correctly with no failure found, replace the VIS #1 and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
