DTC P1676: Immobilizer-Smartra Message Error: General Description

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and the Smart Key Module (SMK) communication when the engine is started to confirm that the proper key/fob is in the vehicle. The SMK and PCM compare the PIN before the a signal is sent to allow the engine to start. If the PINs do not match, a signal is sent to not allow the engine to start.
