Component Inspection

■ Check FRPS performance 

1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Connnect CH A probe to FRPS signal terminal(Pin No. 2) of FRPS connector and CH B probe to TPS1 signal terminal(Pin No. 6) of FRPS connector.
3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
4. Measure signal waveform of FRPS and TPS1 together by stepping on and off the accellerator padel.

   Specification:  Refer to SIGNAL WAVEFORM & DATA

5. Does the FRPS operate properly? (Check variation)

   YES 

   • Go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

   NO 

   • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
   • If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the FRPS and go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
