■ SMK, PCM Neutral Mode

Igniton "ON" & Engine "OFF"
Perform "Neutralize Mode" in the "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.
Neutralize smart key unit with GDS. (Fig 1, Fig 2, Fig 3)
Neutralize PCM with GDS. (Fig 1, Fig 4, Fig 5)
Perform key teaching procedure for smart key unit with GDS. (Fig 6, Fig 7, Fig 8, Fig 9, Fig 10, Fig 11)
CAUTION: Pin code must be prepared to Neutralize Smart Key unit and to perform key teaching procedure.

Is the neutralization of Smart Key unit, Engine PCM and key teaching normal?
YES
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in Smart key unit and/or PCM 's connector or was repaired and Smart key unit memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If problem still occurs, replace Smart key unit and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

NOTE: ■ PIN code is programmed in Smart key unit, Transponder, ESCL.

If the Smart key unit is not registered with PIN, key teaching process is not proceeded
Registering PIN is available after Smart Key unit is neutralized.
Neutralization of Engine PCM is available with GDS (Registering PIN code)
If the virgin engine PCM is installed on vehicle, Engine PCM is automatically programmed PIN code by Smart Key unit
Registering PIN code is only possible for virgin or neutralized status.

■ Smart Key PCM Learning
*All Learning procedure is able to do with a GDS in the vehicle's ignition key off state.

Correct PIN Code must be recorded and kept in hand prior to perform Smart Key Code Saving.
In case of SMK Unit is replaced, Smart Key Code Saving must be performed.
In case wrong PIN signal is inputted 3 times, Neutral Mode or Teaching is prohibited for 1 hour.
In case battery is dischaged during process of Neutral Mode or Teaching, timer will restart and wait for 1 hour to re-do.
