Repair Procedures: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
  2. Remove the front passenger seat assembly. (Refer to "FRONT SEAT ")
  3. Remove the OCS assembly. (Refer to "FRONT SEAT ")
    CAUTION:
    • There are several case about DTC, please check below status
    A B1344 WCS ECU Defect
    B B1319 Required Weight Check
    C B1644 CAN Timeout-ACU
    D B1323 Sensor Defect
    • Case A. Remove only ECU. After replacing, perform WCS reset and DTC clear.
    • Case B. Perform WCS Reset and Accuracy check, if accuracy check result is accepted and DTC is historic, WCS can be re-used.
    • Case C or Case D. Check vehicle wiring, connectors and normal conditions. If No DTC after WCS reset and DTC Clear, WCS can be re-used.
